Doris “ Doc “ Harville, age 80 of Orangeville, Michigan passed away August 17th , at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Doc was born in Hardin County, Tennessee to Elmer and Sinnie Mae ( Murphy) Harville on March 14, 1935. Doc married Elizabeth "Ann" Godsey, on November 20th , 1967 in Decatur, Alabama.

He is survived by his wife , and 7 children.

Rod Harville of Tennessee , and Frank (Bea) Harville of Alabama, Bobbie Harville of Florida and Randall Harville of Alabama , Mike (Trina) Harville of Plainwell , Shawn and Leslie Harville of Orangeville.

He has 10 Grandchildren , 10 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

Doc is also survived by 4 siblings JC, Henrry , Lougne Harville of Tennessee , Ray Harville of Alabama, and sister in law Mrs. Jimmy ( Ruie) Harville of Tennessee. Roger Godsey, Thomas (Cindy) Godsey , Anita (Don) Smith, Rick (Lucy) Hitt, Jack Hitt, Tony (Stacey) Hitt, and Scott (Lynn) Hitt all of Michigan.

Doc was a factory worker, and Newspaper Carrier, during his life time. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, took walks daily later in his life to be outdoors. Enjoyed his coffee on the deck with his wife . He also enjoyed the antics of the younger children, one of his quotes was “ You can't put an adult head on a child, they have to be kids”. He especially loved being with his family and watching them grow.

He was a beloved man , kind , generous, compassionate, and will be missed by many but never more then his wife , children and grandchildren.

Doc was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings Jimmy, Odell and Thomas Harville, Lena Martin and 2 wives, Betty and Joyce; his brother in-law Willie Lee and mother in-law Earline Hitt.

On Friday, August 21st a Memorial service will be held at 11 am, at The Pentecostal Church at 6097 Marsh Road. Please join the visitation with family at the “ pot luck “ luncheon following the memorial service at the church
