Donna Parker

Donna Parker, age 76, of Allegan, MI, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI. Mrs. Parker was born on November 1, 1939 in Angola, IN to the late Perry and Elizabeth (Calver) Warstler. Donna was adopted by the late Hazel Warstler, who raised her as her own. She will be greatly missed. Donna has been a woman of faith, strength and grace. She worked for Perrigo Company for 20 years, retiring in 2002 due to health reasons. She was a faithful, loving member of Christ Community Church. Always referring to them as her "church family." Donna was well-traveled, living in Elgin, IL, California, Alabama and Michigan. She always liked an adventure or trip. She enjoyed "soaps," reading, word find puzzles, bingo and all activities. But most of all, she enjoyed visits from her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parker. She is survived by her children: Donna and Robert Cagle and Richard Parker; 4 grandchildren: twins, Cassandra and Robert, Josh, and Elizabeth; 1 great-grandson, Owen Joshua, who was the light of her life; 3 brothers: Eugene and Susan Warstler, Dale and Roseann Warstler, and Larry Warstler; 6 sisters: Barbara and Ray Webb, Laura McMann, Mary and David Nelson, Darlene Sellgren, Joan and Stan Morris, Sharon and Ernie Coffey. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, July 13 from 5-7pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14 at 12pm at Christ Community Church (3370 113th Ave., Allegan, MI 49010), Pastor Wally Coots officiating. Memorials may be made in Donna's name to Christ Community Church. Interment at Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Township.
