Donna M. Rickers

Donna M. Rickers (Leiferman), aged 95 of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Christian Rest Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Rickers. She is survived by her brother, Harold Leiferman, her brothers-in-law, Marlin Nelson, Bill Loveqvist, Neil Rickers, Rev. John (Millie) Rickers, Roger VanderVelde; many nieces, nephews and friends. Donna was a loving and dedicated, wife, sister, aunt and a friend to all who knew her. She was a longtime member of Westview Christian Reformed Church. She taught for 45 years from a one room school house to teaching 5th and 6th grade at both Oakdale Christian and Sylvan Christian Elementary Schools. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. A service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held on Friday, December 11, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW. Relatives and friends may meet her family at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
