Donald Stephens, age 86, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at Ridgewood Care Center. Donald was born in Racine, February 1, 1930, son of the late Frederick and Millicent (Nee: Oates) Stephens.

On June 28, 1952 at St. Patrick Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Marilyn R. Witkofski. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1952-1954. Don was employed by Standard Foundry for twenty-two years and by Racine Unified School District for twenty-two years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed painting and sports cars.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Marilyn; his son, Randy Stephens; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Stephens; grandson, Brian Stephens; sister-in-law, Carol (Gene) Heck; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, John Stephens; brother, Frederick (Iris) Stephens; and sister, Evelyn “Tiny” Stephens.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating. Private entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church have been suggested.
