Donald Moore

Age 70 of Kalamazoo, died July 12, 2019. He was born May 7, 1949, in Lansing, the son of John and Wilma (Proctor) Moore. Don graduated from East Lansing High School and earned his B.S. in Biology from Alma College. He was a lifelong educator and coach. Don retired after 37 years after serving the Three Rivers School System as a Middle School teacher, Assistant Principal, and District Assistant Superintendent. While teaching he met Jodi and they were married August 6, 1999. Don enjoyed biking and golfing, but he most loved his time spent with his family, especially their family trips to Disney World. Don's family includes his wife Jodi Moore; his children: Meagan (Gianni) Agostinelli, Aaron (Jaime) Moore, Casey (Maggie) Moore, Jess (Jacob) Lewis, Jen (Tim) Lieber, and Hunter "Sill" Moore; his seven cherished grandchildren; his brother Douglas (Malinda) Moore; his mother-in-law Rosalie Pieratt; and other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Wilma Moore and his father-in-law John Pieratt. Friends may gather to remember Don's life from 3-4 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Southridge Reformed Church, 6726 Texas Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, followed by a memorial service at 4 PM, with Pastor Greg Van Heukelom officiating.
