Moonert, Donald Franz 11/6/1932 - 10/7/2022 Libertyville Donald Moonert passed away peacefully, October 7, 2022. Formerly of Two Rivers, and Neenah, Wisconsin. A"Perfectionist", Don lived each and every day striving to make everything right and complete. Growing up in the Willoughby, Ohio area, his life took a turn in high school when his mother passed away with breast cancer. Instead of college, he began working in a factory, quickly working his way up to project engineer in the foundry industry where he remained, in various positions his entire career, retiring as President and CEO of Disamatic, Inc. He was a lifelong member of AFS. Don served in the US Naval Reserves during the Korean War, training World War Two pilots, who had been called back to active duty, the new all-weather flight procedures. He lived life to the fullest, boating, motorhome living, golfing, and in retirement building incredible model cars, and complex Lego models. He was the son of the late Harold and Marjorie (Parker) Moonert. Don was preceded in death by children Eileen Slack and David Moonert. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 incredible years, Carol (Yentz). Also surviving is his daughter Judy Moonert, Portage, MI, his son Mark (Sissi) Moonert, Libertyville, IL, one granddaughter, and four grandsons. Cremation has taken place with private celebration of his life to be held.
