Donald MacKellar

MacKellar, Don 10/7/1934 - 3/12/2017 Decatur, Michigan Donald Wilson MacKellar, 82, passed away at home March 12, 2017. Don was born in Decatur, Michigan. He served in the Naval Reserve for two years and then in the Army two years, during which time Alaska became a state. Don married Marilyn Ives in 1960. Don worked for MDOT and was also a farmer. In later years, he served as Trustee on the Decatur Township Board. Don is survived by wife Marilyn, brothers Wendell, Richard (Sheila), Kenneth (Yvonne), son Nathan (Andrea), daughter Sheila (Eric) Augst, and seven grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marvel, sister Marian, and sister-in-law Kay.Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 6 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Porter Township Hall, 88040 M-40 Hwy., Lawton, MI 49065.
