Donald Ladner

Donald G. Ladner of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at the age of 91. He was born February 8, 1924 in Stanford, CT to the late Gustav and Emma (Helmar) Ladner. Donald was united in marriage to Jeanette Colucci, she preceded him in death on October 24, 2010. Don honorably served in the Army for 3 years, was a tool salesman and also worked in later years repairing lamps. Don loved the game of golf, deer hunting, nature, and watching Detroit Tiger baseball. He was a sociable guy who enjoyed good food, hanging out with family and friends, tipped a dry martini, good glass of wine now and again and loved Two-Hearted beer. His heart was larger than his small stature. Surviving Donald are his three children, Donald G. Ladner, Barbara (Thomas) Walker, and Allison (Randy) Ledbetter; his 8 grandchildren, Chris Knapper, Sam Ledbetter, Anna Ledbetter, Doug Ladner, and Steve Ladner, Eric Walker, Sarah Eaton, and Andrea Walker, whom he cherished; along with 8 great-grandchildren. No visitation or services are scheduled. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
