Donald Kenneth Boutell, “Don”, age 89, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine, February 4, 1927, son of the late Albert and Anna (Nee:Robey) Boutell.

Don served in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division stationed in Japan. He owned and operated Boutell Realty and Statewide Appraisal. For a number of years Don served as a supervisor for the Town of Caledonia. In his later years, he and his business partner Joe Miller owned and operated Leonardo’s Restaurant. He also was part owner of the Kiada Restaurant. Don was a 32nd degree mason. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his son, Bruce (Shaila) Boutell; grandchildren, Jeramy Boutell (Fiancée Kari McCann), Katie Boutell, Matthew Hill, and Ryian Busby; sisters-in-law, Emily Gagnea, Merle Spicer; close family friends, Joe Miller III, Paul Eppers and his son Max, and James Dubiel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine (Nee:Applin); daughter, Cynthia Hill; sister, LaVerne and brothers, Walter, Albert, Harold, William, Russell, Calvin and Clarence.

Private services will be held with interment at Bohemian National Cemetery. Memorials to the family have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center for their loving and compassionate care.
