Donald Johnson

Died Sunday morning June 24, 2018. Donald was born October 16, 1932 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Oliver and Alberta (Lesterhouse) Johnson. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and owned Johnson Construction that was a subcontractor for Behrens Reality for many years, retiring in 1995. Donald was also a member of Parchment United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters, Delores and Barbara. On June 27, 1953, he was united in marriage to Myrtle "Beth" (Brown) Johnson who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Steven (Ruth) Johnson of Canada, Sara Johnson of Marcellus, MI, and Jenny Rainey of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Roy Burnside of Comstock; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial luncheon will be held from 11-4pm Saturday, June 30th at Parchment United Methodist Church, 225 Glendale Blvd. Private burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
