Donald Heywood

Donald James Heywood, age 25, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away unexpectedly into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 14, 2017 at home in Kalamazoo. He was the beloved son of David and Kim Heywood and cherished brother of Jamie Heywood. He is also survived by his wife, Krista, many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his grandmother, Carol Scharrer. Donald graduated from Gull Lake High School in 2011 where he ran cross country and wrestled. He also graduated from the Fire Academy at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 2012. He was employed as a Lead Associate at Denso Manufacturing in Battle Creek. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, kayaking, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with family, riding and restoring motorcycles with his best friends at Denso. He served as an usher and a member of the security team at Radiant Church in the past. Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road. A celebration of Life Service at Radiant Church in Richland will follow starting at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to are appreciated.
