Donald F. Pahl, “Hondo”, 83, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 in Tavares, FL. He was born in Racine, December 17, 1932, son of the late Ernest and Anne (Nee: Rotter) Pahl.

Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed at Rexnord /Nordberg for many years, retiring in 1996. As an engineer, he spent many months working in Brazil where he met the love of his life, Arlete Pereira. They were united in marriage on October 6, 1998. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Don was a free spirit who loved riding his Harley and was a longtime member of the Racine HOG Chapter. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, jet skiing, traveling and ice cream. Above all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Arlete; daughters, Deb (Joe) Rodriguez, Donna (Craig) Crosby; grandchildren, Joseph and Caitlin Rodriguez, David and Jacob Pahl, Bennett and Violet Crosby; great grandson, Jayceon Williams; a brother, Gene Pahl; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Entombment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the Cancer Society have been suggested.
