Surrounded by his loving family, Dominic “Dom” S. Lipari, age 96, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at The Woods of Caledonia. He was born in Sicily, Italy, January 6, 1921, son of the late Joseph and Maria (Nee: Catrine) Lipari.

Dom proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. As recent he was humbled to have gone on the Honor Flight with his son Joe. For sixty-five years Dom owned and operated Dom’s Barber Shop. Dom was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and senior member of Roma Lodge. Dom enjoyed playing bocce ball, bowling, sketching birds, and refurbishing upholstery. He will forever be remembered for his making his famous Italian sausage, eggplant giardiniera and vinegar. More than anything he cherished time spent with his family and friends.

He will be dearly missed by his three children, Joseph (Connie) Lipari, Ralph (Sue) Lipari, all of Racine, Mary Sue Lipari of Los Gatos, CA; six grandchildren, Lisa (Paul) Segura, Kristina (Rick) Onyon, Jessica Lipari, Christian (Christina) Wayne, Cody Onyon, Michael Onyon; seven great-grandchildren, Hailey, Shaianne, Abrianna, Olivia, Dominic, Lucas and Gibson; sister, Connie Kurhajec; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Santo “Zuddy” (Sharon) DeRose, Josie (Don) Pfaffl, Joseph (Barbara) DeRose; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary (Frank) Rizzo and Sarah (Rocco) DeRose; brother Anthony (Olivia) Lipari; brother-in-law, Glen Kurhajec; sister-in-law, Mary (Lucky) Hansen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 11, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue, with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Entombment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
