With her loving family by her side, Dolores M. Miller passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Dolores was born in Racine on February 23, 1929, daughter of the late John and Ethel (nee: Vanderheyden) Marchant.

On December 27, 1950, Dolores married the love of her life, Frank N. Miller at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church where she was a longtime member. She also was a member of Christian Mothers and the Catholic Women’s Club. She served on the Governor’s Health Policy Council, in addition to being a Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, and Registered Nurse. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching her large brood of children play sports and partake in school activities such as the Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts. She also enjoyed playing bridge and truly loved all the members of her bridge club. Dolores will be fondly remembered for great love and devotion to her entire family, friends, and the Green Bay Packers.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of nearly sixty-seven years, Frank; her 11 children, John Miller of Chicago, IL, Frank (Diane) Miller of Racine, Peter (Beth) Miller of Perham, MN, Dr. Timothy (Linda) Patrick-Miller of the Dutch island of Bonaire, Mary (Loren) Halverson of Anchorage AK, Christine Miller of Sunnyvale, CA, Thomas (Deana) Miller of Willowbrook, IL, Joseph (Janet) Miller of Steamboat Springs, CO, Karen (Daniel) Unze of St. Paul, MN, Lisa (Scott) McCormack of Saugus, CA, Ann Marie (M. Francois Merazga) Miller of New York, NY; 15 grandchildren (Jenny, Frank Jr., Laura, Ben, Andy, Gabe, Joshua, Carly, Daniel, Hannah, Abigail, Sarah, Mady, Megan, and Yanis); 7 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Dolores was also preceded in death by her daughter Laura Jean, brother Robert, sisters Marian and Marjorie, sister-in-law, Irene Marchant and brother-in-law, Harold Mathe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave, on Wednesday November 8, 2017, 10:30 a.m., with Reverend Javier Guativa officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested in honor of Dolores Miller.

The family extends a special thank you to all of their aunts, uncles, cousins, and their dear Mother’s friends. A heartfelt thanks is also extended to Home Instead, and Aurora at Home, for their loving care of Dolores in her last months on God’s earth.
