Dolores "Lorrie" A. Kroes

With her family by her side, Dolores “Lorrie” A. Kroes, age 83, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at her home. Lorrie was born in Milwaukee, January 28, 1933, daughter of the late Benedict and Adeline (Nee: Kamasinski) Kosnicki.

On November 24, 1956 at St. James Catholic Church in Milwaukee she was united in marriage to Theodore “Ted” H. Kroes. She was a longtime member of St. Rita Catholic Church. She will be best remembered for her love and devotion to her family and friends. Her courage and grace were an inspiration to all.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of nearly sixty years, Ted; her children, Loreen (Kurt) Radke, Cheryl (Jim) Thoennes, Pamela (Tom) Stefka, Douglas (Jackie) Kroes, Jacqueline (Karl) Radke, Steven (Linda) Kroes; her grandchildren, Brianne, Megan and Jillian Radke, Allison (Ade) Okuneye, Timothy (Jen) and Jay Thoennes, Samantha and Shauna Stefka, Isabelle and Ted Kroes, Audra, Laurin and Jameson Radke; six great-grandchildren; sister, Corinne (Ken) Skurulsky; brother, Michael Kosnicki; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Joni Kosnicki, Paul Kroes, Pat Kroes; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Kosnicki; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Pat) Kroes, Mary (Mel) Zerzanek, Dorie (John) Madala, George (Rose) Kroes, Hank (Pat) Kroes, Josie (John) Polcin, Louise Kroes, and Lambert (Elaine) Kroes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 29, 2016, 12:00 P.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 12:00 P.M. Memorials to St. Rita Catholic Church or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital have been suggested.
