Dolly Smith

Dolly A. Smith, age 85, of Marcellus, MI passed away Monday April 2, 2018. She was born December 14, 1932 the daughter of Peter and Gertrude M. Kroeg in Decatur, MI. On March 4, 1954 she married James L. Smith in Bloomingdale, MI who had preceded her in death. After her children were born she had decided to stay home to raise her family, later on she worked part time at the Village Market and house sat in her later years. She was a member at Trinity Bible Church. She enjoyed playing bingo at the church, having coffee with the wonderful ladies from the church, and tending to her vegetable and flower garden. She loved the company of her cat Gracie who kept her entertained. She had one brother and two sisters who preceded her in death. Surviving are her beloved children; daughter Julie (Stephen) Richmond of Marcellus and sons Darryl (PJ) Smith of St. Helen, MI , Michael K. Smith of Arcadia, FL, and Kevin S. (Connie) Smith of Lawton, MI; 11 grandchildren, and had many nieces and nephews. The family will have a private grave site service for the burial of cremains that will be at Marcellus Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to donor's choice.
