Died Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Borgess Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Del was born April 18, 1942 near New River, West Virginia the son of Fred and Ollie Pearl (Rhodes) Warden and has lived in the Gobles area for the majority of his life. Del was well known in the area for working at Stoney Ford during the 60's and 70's. In 1975 under the direction of Ben Munn he drilled his first well. He eventually owned and operated Del's Well Drilling until his son, Dan, took over in 2006. The business is still in operation today, which Del remained active in until his death. Surviving are his 3 children, David Warden of Oklahoma, Tammy (Brian) Antisdel of Dowagiac, Dan (Karen) Warden of Gobles; 5 grandchildren, Michael Warden, Taylor Care, Alyssa Care, Myranda Care, Dade Warden; and 2 great grandchildren, Blake, and Brooklynn; and partner for many years, Linda Sheely. He was preceded in death by his parents, former wife, Vickie; 2 brothers, Dennis and Donny. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and the family will meet friends 5-7 PM Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home.
