Debarah Deem

Debarah Ann Deem, 69, passed away October 10, 2018. She was born October 1, 1949 in Kalamazoo to Kip (Kuhn) Taylor and the late Carl Deem. Debarah was known to have a big and loving heart; those who knew her loved her dearly. She was a single mom who looked after her family. Her door was always open to anyone who needed her guidance. She was honest and independent. Her free time was often spent with craftsespecially cross-stitch and plastic canvas. She enjoyed watching movies and could never turn down a good, cold Pepsi. She was preceded in death by her father Carl Deem and sister, Carla Empson. She leaves behind her loving children, Melissa (Richard) Garner, Chad (Tori) Deem, and Brandi Deem; grandchildren Chad II, Zackary (Autumn), Tyler, Jacob, Adreeonna, and Brandin; great-granddaughter Josie Rose; mother Kip (Patrick) Taylor; step-mother Alice Deem; sisters Vicki Wiegand and Lori Reid; as well as nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family Sunday, October 14 from 2-4pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
