David Van De Laare

David Nelson Van De Laare, age 77 of Plainwell, passed away on August 4, 2024. David was born on December 22, 1946 in Kalamazoo, the son of Nelson and Georgia (Groves) Van De Laare. David owned and operated DN Van De Laare Plumbing and retired as a plumbing and mechanical inspector for the city of Portage. David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cheryl (Charkowski) Van De Laare, daughter, Kristina Goudie, granddaughter, Gabriella Goudie, sister Marilyn (Robert) Hardin, brothers in law, Dennis (Colleen) Charkowski, Jim (Sherry) Charkowski, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Van De Laare, and sister, Joyce (William) Pope. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
