David passed away July 28, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born November 23, 1934 in Oxford, Michigan the son of Clifford and Ruth (Swann) Marsac. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. For many years he had worked for Consumers Energy and then General Motors until his retirement. In his spare time David enjoyed golfing on area leagues, even hitting a hole in one, he belonged to the quilting group at the Gun Lake Community Church, and he enjoyed exercising, playing cards, bird watching and traveling across the US and overseas. He was a member of the American Legion of Dorr. David was a people person and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. On July 19, 1993 he married Jeannie Lawler who survives. Also surviving are his children, Fred (Debi) Marsac of Clarkston and Janet (Brian) Sinclair of Grand Rapids; 4 grandchildren, Daniel (Karine), Kara (Matt), Ben and Hannah; great-granddaughter, Leilani; siblings, Yvonne Marsac and Joe Marsac along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Neal and John. Friends may visit with David's family from 5-8 P.M., Thursday, August 3, 2017 with a rosary service at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Otsego with Rev. Fr. Simon Manjooran officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell. Military Honors by the American Legion of Dorr. Contributions in memory of David may be made to Christian Neighbors.
