David Cox

David LaVern Cox, age 72, was born on October 2, 1944 in Galesburg, MI. David lost his battle to cancer at his home surrounded by his family on December 9, 2016. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He touched the lives of each one he came across. David is survived by his daughters Teri Clore, Andrea (Bob) Lutz, Daphne Kalin, Amy (Bill) Ritchie, son Timothy (Sara) Cox, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, mother Vonda (Banghart) Cox, sisters Wilma (Bob) Kyle, Maxine (Glen) Dunham, and Karen Bresson. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years Karen (Kaminski) Cox, his father John Cox, mother-in-law Frances Kaminski and brother-in-law Rick Bresson. David was a hard worker. He worked at Arends Equipment for several years before owning his own concrete/construction business for many years. David was a dedicated, passionate, honest man and had exceptional integrity. He would always say he was a "jack of all trades, master of none". He enjoyed being outdoors, whether hunting and fishing or working in his garden. David enjoyed nature to its fullest and being surrounded by his family. There will be a memorial service to celebrate David's life Friday, December 16, 2016 at Faith United Methodist Church located at 503 S. Grove Street (M43) in Delton at 1:00 p.m., Luncheon to follow.
