David Braganini, age 65, of Lawton, MI the beloved Leader and President of the St. Julian Wine Family passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2016. The Winery has been family owned and operated since 1921, but Dave is what made the company truly a family. His passion for our mission and love for his employees is what makes St. Julian what it is today. Dave was born in Kalamazoo on May 22, 1951 to the late Apollo and Julia Braganini. He is survived by his loving daughter, Angela Braganini, his two sisters, Diana Statsman and Marianne (Douglas) Barthel and his two brothers, John (Debbie) Braganini and Thomas (Bernadette) Braganini. David was preceded in death by his son, Gene Braganini. Dave was a 1973 graduate of Kings College where he earned his Bachelors of Science Degree. He was an active figure in the Paw Paw community and the wine industry and he founded the Lake Michigan Wine Trail. Aside from the winery, Dave had many interests and hobbies. He enjoyed classic cars, collecting antiques, traveling, and especially taking care of his Mt. Road Vineyard . He was an avid sports fisherman, Notre Dame fan and longtime parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paw Paw. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 2-8 p.m., with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 W., Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. Mass of Christian burial will take place Monday, July 11, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be a special reception and luncheon immediately following the cemetery committal service at the Lawton Community Center, and all of his friends are invited to attend. Memorial contributions in David's memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
