Died with his family by his side at Rose Arbor Hospice on July 14, 2019. He was born October 16, 1954, in Kalamazoo, the son of William "Bill" and Burnadean "Burnie" (Bingaman) Trimner. Daryl graduated from Gobles High School in 1972. Daryl retired from Frito Lay after 33 years of service, before beginning his dream job at the Getman Corporation. He truly loved going to work every day and working alongside such a supportive team at Getman. He was the former President of the Michigan Sport Buggy Association, during a time when they rallied for off road vehicle rights for the ORVs at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. On August 1, 1981, Daryl married his match in Sharon Mott. They were a true team from the beginning and she supported him and held his hand until the very end. They created so many lifelong beautiful memories together, traveling to Silver Lake, attending car shows, and spending time with their daughter. Daryl was very proud of the work he did restoring many classic vehicles and several old gas pumps. He was most passionate about the restoration of his own 1968 short box Chevy, his pride and joy. He was a true gentleman, who put thought into his actions and enjoyed life. His family includes his wife Sharon Trimner; his daughter Corie and Jacob Canter; his mother Burnadean "Burnie" Trimner; his brothers Kent Trimner (Nancy Reincke) and Alan and Cindy Trimner; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father William "Bill" Trimner. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Services will be held at 6 PM on Friday, July 19th at the funeral home, with an hour to greet his family prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society- Hope Lodge, Peter M. Wege Guest House, Grand Rapids or the American Diabetes Association.
