Danny Lineberry

Danny Lineberry, age 63 of Kalamazoo, died June 30, 2019. He was born November 20, 1955, in Missouri, the son of James and Ethel (Thacker) Lineberry. During the Vietnam War, Dan served in the U.S. Marines from 1973-1979. On March 14, 1997, Dan was married to Mary Klimach. They raised their children together and enjoyed many years of adventures. He had a passion for stock car racing. He enjoyed watching Western movies, the Three Stooges, and Jackson Barrett Auctions. Everyone who met Dan remembered him most for how easily he could make you laugh with a Dad joke or an outrageous story. Above all, Dan LOVED his grandchildren and every moment spent with them making memories. He is survived by his wife Mary Lineberry; his children: Jodi (Denny) Haygood, Beth (Mark Chandler) Davey, Michael (Suzy) Fortson, Christy Hinko, Tiffany (Jerrod) Merriam; his grandchildren: Caleb, Riley, Nolan, Austin, Sarah, Mark, Jessica, Brighit, and Liam; his great-grandson Carson; his brothers and sisters: Mabel Presnell, Sandra Cheatham, Peggy Bailey, and Johnny Lineberry; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM on Monday, July 8, 2019, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, with Dan's funeral service at 12 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services with military honors will follow in Fort Custer National Cemetery at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
