Mr. Daniel S. Sundman, aged 80, of Kentwood, ran into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his sister, Brita Bellefeuille. Dan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ethel; children, Steven (Maureen) Sundman of Cape Cod, MA, Nathan W. (Lisa) Sundman of Kalamazoo, MI, Daniel Paul (Jean) Sundman of St. Peters, MO, Phillip Mark (Michelle) Sundman of Windham, N.H., Aaron Lloyd (Patricia) Sundman of Rockford, MI, and Rebecca Joy (Matthew) Maloley of Grandville, MI; 19 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Dan will be remembered for his unwavering faith in his Lord, his dedication to his family, and his love for travel and adventure. His unique sense of humor will not soon be forgotten. Dan served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Living Hope Community Church, 2391 Hillside Dr. NW with Rev. Jim Hogg officiating. Friends are invited to visit with his family from 6-9 PM on Tuesday December 22, 2015 at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place in Kent Memorial Gardens. Contributions in his memory may be made to Living Hope Community Church.
