Daniel Sluiter

Sluiter, Daniel J. Kalamazoo Daniel died suddenly on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the age of 10. He was born on March 16, 2006 a son of Walter and Christina (Rice) Sluiter. Daniel was a fourth grader at Tree of Life School and attended Life Changing Ministries Church. He also enjoyed attending the Boys and Girls Club at Westwood Christian Reformed Church and activities at Kanley Chapel. He is survived by his father, Walter Sluiter of Kalamazoo; mother Christina Rice and her fiance, Kenneth McLaurin of Battle Creek; a sister, Brianna Rice; three brothers, Jon Sluiter, Benjamin Shaffer, Jr. and Darrel W. Sluiter; paternal grandparents, John & Ethel Sluiter; maternal grandparents, Daniel & Margie Rice; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Sunday, November 6th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Funeral services will be held 11am on Monday, November 7th at Westwood Christian Reformed Church, 620 Northampton. Memorials may be made to Daniel's GoFunMe account.
