Daniel Hummel

Daniel D. Hummel, age 65, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on July 9, 2016. Daniel was born on September 12, 1950, in Kalamazoo, the son of William and Gladys (Edmonds) Hummel. Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who will be missed. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. Was always ready to make a trip to the casino and above all loved spending time with his family. He leaves behind many wonderful memories that will be cherished by all those who loved him. On February 14, 1984, he married the love of his life Janet M. Hummel who preceded him in passing on March 13, 2015. He was also preceded in passing by his father and a sister, Mary L. Hummel. Daniel is survived by his loving children, Daniel Hummel II, Geraldine (Bradley) Jones, Tina (Brian Keeler) Caro, Michelle (Mike) Buchanan and Jason (Tammy) Stewart; his mother; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five siblings, William, Forest, Charles, Guy and Almira. In accordance with Dan's wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the West Michigan Cancer Center, c/o of Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home.
