Daniel David Jewell, age 71, passed away on Tuesday March 24, 2015. Daniel was born in Racine on June 18, 1943, son of the late Harold and Lydia (nee: Nank) Jewell and was a lifelong resident.

Daniel proudly served in the U.S. Navy, and later became a member and trustee of Ship 60 at the VFW Post 1391. On January 28, 1967, Daniel was united in marriage to Sheryl Worden. They shared thirty eight years together before she passed away on April 26, 2005. A gear hob specialist and quality controller, He was employed with Webster Electric, lastly Danfoss for over twenty five years until his retirement in 2004. Daniel was married to Margaret “Maggie” Daly-Guenther on July 19, 2014. He was an active member of the Moose, where he served as Legionnaire and trustee, and enjoyed playing darts. In his spare time, Daniel enjoyed bicycling, sailing, hunting, shooting and cars. Always mechanically inclined and a skilled woodworker, he would love to tinker with his tools and was always the go-to man for any project that needed to be done or fixed. Daniel will be best remembered for his love for his family and his grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Maggie; daughters, Shellie (James) Bull, Carrie (Daniel) Walker, Angel (Nick) Ricciardi; seven grandchildren, Tyler and Jordan Bull, Mitchell and Cassie Walker, Nicholas and Mariah Raymond, and Joseph Ricciardi; sister, Phyllis (Robert) Moore; sisters-in-law, Maryann (Wayne) Ramirez, Josephine (Timothy) Manderfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and his first wife, Sheryl, Daniel was also preceded in death by his son David Daniel, sisters, Joyce DeMint and Betty Heether.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Ave, Monday March 30, 2015, 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Jim Vojtik officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church Monday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Memorials to the VFW Post 1391 or the American Diabetes Association have been suggested.
