Passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born on October 28, 1964 in Kalamazoo, the son of Donald 'Tod' and Beverly (Saxton) Moon. On May 27, 1989, Dale was married to Nancy M. Escamilla. He was employed by Kalamazoo Beer/West Side Beer for over 30 years, until he was most recently working for Moon Custom Painting. Dale was a great athlete. He began playing baseball at age 5. He continued his love of baseball, playing throughout his time in school and men's softball for many years until his shoulder prevented him from playing. Dale was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, enjoyed NCAA football, and was a longtime University of Michigan fan. He coached several of his 2 son's baseball, football and soccer teams. He also enjoyed golfing and was a dog lover. Dale had a great sense of humor and often played practical jokes on his family and friends. Dale was a devoted father and always put others first. His two greatest accomplishments were achieved when his sons were born.
