Daisy Vote

Daisy Vote, age 82, of Kalamazoo, was surrounded by her family when she went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2016 at the Life Care Center in Plainwell. Daisy was born on May 4, 1933 to Orville & Louise (Lee) Brown. Visit with her family and friends on Thursday, April 7 from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church; 12220 Cressey Rd, Plainwell, MI 49080 (269 664-3229). A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Daisy’s family includes her daughter Mary (Brian) Heeringa; siblings: Houston (Donna) Brown, Joe (Jan) Brown, Keith Brown; brother-in-law Robert Larner; grandchildren: Cameron and Kayla as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Vote and her sister Sharon Larner. Daisy worked at Gull Lake Community Schools as an elementary teacher. She began in a one room school house and retired from Gull Lake in 1987. Daisy loved the Lord and often sang His praises. She enjoyed and looked forward to picnics on the living room floor with her granddaughter. Memorial donations can be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church.
