Craig Keys was born on September 22, 1959 to Jennie Mae (Cannon) Keys and Curtis Nathaniel Keys in Racine WI. He received his formal education at Horlick High School where he graduated in 1976.

Craig accepted Christ as his Savior early in life and was united with the Faith Church of God, in Racine WI. At Faith Church of God, he participated in many activities and at one point was the van driver for the parishioners.

In the spring of 1989 Craig was united in holy Matrimony to Vanessa Williams. There were no children to this union.

Craig worked at Martinizing Dry Cleaners as the janitor following high school. He honored his family and country by serving proudly from 1977 – 1982 in the United States Marine Corps. In the U.S. Marines Corps he participated and two major operations under President Jimmy Carter. After serving his country, he worked for various small machine shops as an assembler until he became disabled in 2015. Craig loved his family and would go the extra mile to assure their wellbeing.

Craig was an avid sports fan, like many in the family; he loved baseball and was fond of basketball. However, his biggest love was clothes, cards and socializing with close friends and family.

Craig departed this life on June 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis Nathaniel Keys and Jennie Mae (Cannon) Keys; his brothers Curtis Lee Keys and Larry (Webb) Cannon. He leaves to cherish his memory: Three brothers: Michael (Teresa Kaye) Keys of Trenton, TN.; Kevin Keys of Racine, WI. and Brian Keys of Green Bay, WI.; two sisters, Cecily Keys-Kelly of Brown Deer, WI. and Kathleen Keys of Caledonia, WI; Aunts: Chattie Sue Johnson of Mpls., MN.; Cubell Cannon of Columbus, MS; Frances Alice (James) Terry of Indls., IN.; Sallie (Winston) Ballard of Okla. City, OK; Uncles: Charles (Frances) Keys of New Albany, MS.; James (Daisy) Keys of New Albany, MS.; Carl (Carlene) Keys of Kathleen, GA.; Azunia Keys of Meridian, MS.; Laverne Keys of New Albany, MS. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly along with many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main Street. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
