Pinkster, , Collin Robert "Cubbie" 1/27/2004 - 7/1/2016 Kalamazoo On July 1, 2016, Heaven received a courageous angel in the form of Collin Robert Pinkster. Collin began his journey on January 27, 2004, the son of John and Stephanie Pinkster. His was a life born into challenge which he faced courageously. Despite adversity he had an incredible love for people and a joy for life. He had an adventurous and unbridled spirit enjoying a multitude of outdoor activities including; camping, biking, walks along the beach, "off-roading" in his wheelchair and relaxing by the fire. Collin was a ten year attendee of Woodsedge Learning Center where he became part of an extended family of friends and teachers who taught him how to overcome many barriers. His ministry in life was to teach others that it is not one's limitations that define them but rather the strength of one's spirit that can set them free. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents; siblings, Julia and Trevor; grandparents, Marve (Beth Culp) Wiessner, Brenda Pinkster, Harold Pinkster; aunt, Judy (Neill) Beavers; great-grandmother, Corabelle Pinkster; uncle, Ric (Nickie) Wiessner; aunt, Erin Lekberg; cousins, Ryan, Sam, and Lauren Wiessner; many extended family and friends. He leapt with open arms into glory to join Pamela "Grammie" Wiessner; uncle, Bob Lekberg; step-grandmother, Corrie Pinkster; great-grandmothers, Nellie Wiessner, Joyce Gruizenga, Lilah VandePolder. A celebration of Collin's life will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Radiant Church, 8157 E DE Ave., Richland, MI 49083, beginning at 12:00 PM, with Pastor's Paul Fazio and Jon Zondervan officiating. A visitation will be held at the church two hours prior to the service from 10:00 to 12:00PM. The family requests that visitors wear bright colors to honor Collin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Woodsedge Learning Center or the Joseph A. Cekola Fund, c/o the funeral home.
