Tigchelaar, Clyde 2/14/1939 - 3/5/2023 Fort myers Florida Clyde Peter Tigchelaar, 84 of Delton, MI, passed away Sunday, March 5th, 2023, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. Clyde was born February 14th, 1939, in Martin, MI, the son of Clyde Sr. and Alice Tigchelaar. He was a 1957 graduate of Portage Central High School. After High school, Clyde spent most of his life working for Conrail, now known as Norfolk Railroad, before retiring at the age of 65 after 40 years of service Following his retirement, Clyde moved to Fort Myers Florida, spending many years connecting with old friends, making new ones, and spending countless days fishing ,enjoying a cold Coors light, and soaking up the Florida sun. Fort Myers was also where Clyde met the love of his life, Gerri Weaver, who became his wife in 2012 In addition to Gerri, Clyde is also survived by his loving twin daughters, Heather Ann (Mark) Johnson and Tiffany Lynn (William) Mauk, his step-son, Tripper Hunt; three grandchildren, Christopher William Mauk, Amber Ann Mauk, and Alice Elizabeth Johnson; three brothers , Gale (Terri) Tigchelaar, Steve (Connie) Tigchelaar and Mike(Kerri) Tigchelaar; three step-children, Billy Givens, Patti Tjaden, Debbie Andrus and Kelly klepacki, as well as several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends throughout Michigan, Florida and Delaware. Preceding Clyde in death his sister Janice(John)Vanderbeek Throughout his life , Clyde was a lover of throughbed horses, from training to breeding to betting, and everything in between. Clyde also enjoyed participating in several area bowling leagues for many years. He was a true outdoorsman, and was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, boating or any other activity in the great outdoors. Clyde will always be remembered by those who loved him for his one-of-a-kind stories and fantastic sense of humor, known by friends and family as the "King of the one liner." Clyde was a lifelong free spirit, with love in his heart for countless people from all stages of his life, and he will be dearly missed by all A private celebration will be held at his beloved Pine Lake, in Delton, at a late
