Clark A. Korb, 64, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 in Traverse City. Clark was born on April 17, 1951 in Traverse City, the son of Henry Jr. and Joyce (Clark) Korb.

A lifelong resident of Traverse City, he graduated from Traverse City Central in 1970.

In his younger years Clark worked beside his dad as a cook at the Traverse City State Hospital.

He served his country, mostly in West Germany, during the Cold War with the Army’s 7th Engineer Brigade.

Clark returned to the area, working as an interior craftsman for a local construction company. In 1999 due to his decline in health, Clark retired to live with his daughter in Lake Ann.

He was a former member of both the Eagles Aerie #383 and the Elks Lodge.

He enjoyed camping, woodworking and watching the wildlife from his porch.

Clark is survived by his only child, Cassalyn, son-in-law, Aaron Spangler; along with his beloved, grand-dog, Miss Blu. He is also survived by a brother, Jon M. Korb, of Cedar Springs; and sister, Kim Lori (Jim) Bir, of Ada.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held.

Memorial contributions may be directed to someone you know in need or to the local American Legion Post #35.
