Christal Ann Delger, age 80, of Kalamazoo, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 25, 2016. Chris was born in Kalamazoo on April 29, 1936, to Harry and Cora (Lemmer) Morgan. She was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Kalamazoo Christian High School. On March 11, 1955 she was united in marriage to Martin J. Delger. Chris had worked at The Upjohn Company prior to raising her family. For over 32 years she served as secretary and helped Mart operate Mart Delger Builders. They actively served in the churches they attended and are currently members of Southridge Reformed Church. For nine summers they worked in North Andover, restoring historical homes and for over 25 years they sold John Deere toys. Raising her children and caring for her grandchildren was the joy of her life. She is survived by her husband Mart; her children Bonnie (Rick) Berghuis, Joan (Brent) High, John (Mary) Delger, and Debra (Paul) Feddes; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her sister Kathleen Izenbaard; many nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, James Martin; daughter, Cherie Ann; brother, William Morgan and sister, June Kloosterman. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 4th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, where a Memorial Service celebrating Chris' life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 5th with her son, Pastor John Delger officiating. A private family graveside will be held in Texas Township Hope Cemetery.
