Cheryl Richardson

Cheryl Ann (Ufkes) Richardson, age 60, of Portage, MI passed away on September 4th, 2017 . She was born in San Diego, CA on June 8th, 1957 to her parents Joan (Smith) Blincoe and Jim Ufkes. She loved entertaining and cooking for her friends and family, who always appreciated the love and care that went into preparing her delicious and creative meals. Everyone looked forward to going to Cheryl's house, she made you feel so welcome and comfortable. She was preceded in death by her father Jim Ufkes and step-sister Karen (Blincoe) Metzlars. She is survived and missed by her mother, Joan Blincoe, her stepfather Richard Blincoe, sisters Susan (Allan) Karnas and Ramah Ufkes, brother Phil (Rebecca) Ufkes, daughter Megan (Richardson) Teike, granddaughter Belle Teike, and ex-husband and father to her daughter, Gary Richardson. She is also survived by her step brothers and sister Rick (Vonda) Blincoe, Kathleen (Tim) Grinwis, Tom (Marci) Blincoe, David Blincoe, and Greg (Mikki) Blincoe, several loved nieces and nephews, and her beloved kitties Pib and Toby. There will be a celebration of her life on September 29th, 2017 at 2:00pm with visitation beginning at 1:00pm at Langland's on 9th St., followed by a reception at the Beacon Club at 4:00pm if you'd like to come share your favorite memories. Memorials may be made to the SPCA of Southwest Michigan.
