Charles William 'Butch' Lessard, 74 of Traverse City died suddenly January 19, 2015 at home.

He was born on February, 3 1940 in Bellaire, Michigan to Rollande and Sara (Berg) Lessard.

Chuck was a marine mechanic and part owner of Cadillac Square Marina in Cadillac. He later was the Elmwood Twp. Harbor Master and when retired, delivered Meals on Wheels. He was a graduate of Michigan State University and a member of the Lake City Kiwanis Club.

Chuck and Elna (Christensen) Lessard were married on November 23, 1974 in Detroit. She survives him along with special nieces and nephews Karen (Brian) Hansz of Alaska, Sharon (Mark) Schooley of Rives Junction, and Paul (Darci) Christensen of Whitehall; special great nieces and nephews are Jared, Emily, Drew and Chloe. He is also survived by siblings Bob (Marjorie) Lessard, Margie (Dick) Ruppenthal, Theresa (Jim)VanHouten, Jo Parker, Cathie (Norman) McAtee, and Suzie (Dolph) Ottgen, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Lucille and Mark Ferstle, brother-in-law Niel Christensen, and sister-in-law, Shirley Christensen.
