Charles E. Jones

Charles E. Jones, age 66, passed away on Thursday February 11, 2016. Charles Edward Jones was born July 29, 1949 in Holly Springs, MS to Sylvester and Almira Jones whom both preceded him in death. Charles later moved to Chicago, IL where he attended Chicago public schools, Chalmers Elementary and Crane High School. Charles first accepted Christ at the Spirit of Truth where he joined in the choir. Charles later moved to Racine, WI, where he joined Faith Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Apostle Sheila D. Nienhaus. He sang in the choir until his failing health. Charles was a hard worker, and excellent family man that carried many tasks. Charles was loved by many and was known to them as “Chuck” and loved to have fun.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Chiquita Jones; son, Leonard Jones; step-daughters, Stacey and Lynette; step-son, Erix (Patricia) all of Chicago; step-son, Maurice (Kim) of Racine; brothers, Lawrence and Stan (Brenda) all of Chicago; sixteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; special grandson, Ja Quan “Boobie”; special lady friend and caretaker, Francis; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Horton and three brothers, Sylvester Jr., Craig and Frank.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Christian Fellowship Church, 1200 Racine St, on Thursday February 18, 2016, 11:00 a.m., with Bishop Sheila D. Nienhaus officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
