He graduated from William Horlick High School “Class of 1944”. Upon his graduation he served with the United States Army Corp of Engineers during World War II in the European Theatre of War until his discharge in 1946. On April 21, 1951 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Joan Lucille Hanson who preceded him in death, January 26, 2015. Chuck was employed at S.C. Johnson and Son for seventeen years, retiring in 1986. He was previously employed at Custom Cabinet for twelve years. He was a longtime member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and member of St. John’s Choir. He loved singing and belonged to the Church Singers and the Racine Dairy Statesmen for over fifty years, since the inception in 1960. Chuck was an avid bowler and bowled with the Retiree’s Bowling League. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and most of all treasured time spent with his family.

He will be dearly missed by his 3 children, Peggy J. Robbins (Tom Martin) of Racine, Kim C. Peterson of Pocatello, ID, Polly A.
