Charlene Harrington, age 87, of Plainwell, passed away on January 9, 2019. Charlene was born on May 2, 1931 to Charles and Thelma (Jackson) Buxton. Visit with her family and friends on Sunday, January 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the McCowen & Secord Funeral Home Marshall & Gren Chapel; 120 S. Woodhams St. Plainwell, MI 49080. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Charlene’s family includes her children: Tim (Nancy) Harrington, Bill (Jade) Harrington, Sue (Marvin) Brenner; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; her sister Janice Davidson as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Hank and her parents. Charlene cherished family and enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening. She volunteered at the library and was quite the historian of local history.
