Passed away early Thursday morning April 18, 2019 surrounded by her family. Charlene was born December 13, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Lehman and Arlene (Reiter) Williams. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. Charlene was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake, sew and spend time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed many activities over the years such as apple and peach picking for special treats for her family. She was active in the school when her children were young, was involved in the little league concession, traveled to many tractor pulls to support the family while keeping the energy up with her delicious vittles, she also belonged to a GM woman's bowling league for many years, and enjoyed many years in Florida during retirement with her husband. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald T. Mott on May 12, 2010; a son-in-law, William Dittman Jr.; and a sister, Barbara Mitchell. She is survived by Layne Dittman of Sylvania, OH, and Tom (Karen) Mott and Sharon (Daryl) Trimner all of Kalamazoo; 6 granddaughters, Lynn (Patrick), Jeny, Jill (Ryan), Corie (Jake), Lea and Kelly Jo; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nancy (Donald) Howard of Bradenton, FL, Shirley (Frank) Jackson of Portage, and Tanya (Clyde) Lincomfelt of Rodney, MI; a brother, Ed (Robin) Williams of Fremont, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday, April 24th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Visitation will be held 5-8pm Tuesday, April 23rd and 10-11am on Wednesday April 24th prior to the service at the chapel. Sharky's favorite color is turquoise, please wear bright colors to her services in her honor. You are invited to join us for a luncheon directly after the service at Langelands to celebrate "Sharky's" life. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Diabetes Association.
