Cassandra Garton

Cassandra L. "Candy" Garton, age 64, of Portage, MI passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on January 5, 1952 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Fred and Alma (Roblyer) Kelley. On December 10, 1977, she was united in marriage to John N. Garton, who preceded her in death on March 27, 2016. Also preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Mark Kelley. Surviving are her five children: Rich Garton, Hope (Alvin McGill) Garton, Christina Garton, Joscelyn (Michael) Garton-Escamilla, and Leah Garton; five grandchildren: Zachary, Jose (Kendra), Destiney, Kaitlin, and Alonzo; brother: Creig (Kathy) Kelley; two sisters: Janice (Ted) Hembroff and Denise (Steven) Morren; and several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to American Lung Association .
