Life Story / Obituary
Cary, a quality individual, was a 1991 graduate of UW-Whitewater, and, until recently, a Chicago resident. He will be remembered for his smile, kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity and his sweet nature.
Cary always delighted in seeing his friends and sharing a story about their past adventures and recently had talked about his being an all-county swimmer during his swim team days at Horlick High School. With a kind word and friendly wish for all that he encountered, he was a bright light for those that knew him. A passion for cars since childhood, with an expert’s knowledge of all vintages and models, Cary was affectionately known as carboy68, his chosen email identification. His charisma was welcomed in several states by all he encountered in his auto finance re-marketing profession and also those he served as an exceptional bartender for over 25 years.
He will be missed more than words can say by his parents, Jon and Julie Peterson, brother Eric (Jennifer Burnett), Uncle Dick Schliesmann (Susan), niece and nephew Gabriella and James, other relatives and many, many dear friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Cary’s life will be held Monday, January 2, 2017, 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 3:30 P.M. until time of service at 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a fund to be established in Cary’s name at a later date have been suggested.
