Carol McGuire

Passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the age of 87. She had a passion for golfing, traveling and trips to the casino as well as being a very generous person to her family and anyone else in need. Carole was born in Chicago, IL on January 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Manus and Frances (Naylor) Blackburn. She was employed by Town and Country Markets for twenty years. She was married to Francis J. McGuire on November 26, 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 18, 2004 and her son John (Catherine) McGuire on October 17, 2013. She is survived by three sons, Michael McGuire, Kelly (Donna) McGuire and Jeffrey (Rebecca) McGuire; seven grandchildren; Melissa McGuire, Jason McGuire, Shaun McGuire, Carter McGuire, Aubrey McGuire, Austin McGuire, Emily McGuire: two step-grandchildren: Justin Madden and Ashleigh Johnson and two great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn McGuire & Abigail McGuire; two sisters, Hanna Gerou and Sharon (Larry) Robertson. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. A prayer service will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, officiated by Deacon Pat Hall.
