Carl Bernard Garbrecht age 93 went to be with his Lord on November 30, 2015. Born March 25, 1922 and married Gertrude Emma Ebel on May 24, 1947.

Carl served in the United States Army, 216th A.A.A. Gun Battalion during WWll.

Carl was a member of the West Olive CRC and served as both elder and deacon. Community service included the West Olive School Board and the Port Sheldon Twp. Zoning Board.

Carl is survived by children, Susan (Henry) Espinoza; Joan (Leo) Gordillo; Cal (Mary) Garbrecht; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; brother August (Mary) Garbrecht; in-laws; Edward (Joan) Ebel and Betty (Robert) Overkamp.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Gertrude, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be held Thursday 6-8 at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave. Holland. Services will be held Friday 11:00AM, West Olive C.R.C., US 31 and Croswell with Rev. Jonathon De Ruiter and Rev. Mark Stevenson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Olive C.R.C. or Hospice of Holland.
