Butler Junior Hall, of Vicksburg passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the age of 86. Butler was born on April 5, 1929 in Amba, Kentucky. Butler was the fifth of 15 children to Butler and Minnie (Thompson) Hall, Sr. On July 25, 1955 he married Norma Payment in Harold, KY. He was in the Korean War serving on the front lines in the United States Army. He loved his church, the Lord and children. He was known at his church as the candy man. He always had one of the best gardens and had enough to provide for his family and others. Some of his hobbies included picking up cans while riding his bike, and walking around with his metal detector. One of his favorite bible verses was John 3:16. Butler lead many people to the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma; six children: Kima Hall, of KY; Sharon (James) Hess, of Warren; Edward Hall, of Eaton Rapids; Janet Scott, of Vicksburg; Douglas (Connie) Hall, of Vicksburg; Bryan Hall, of Vicksburg. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Sue in 1986 and nine siblings.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am until 1pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1pm. Butler will be buried at Fort Custer National Cemetery with military honors.
