Bruce Christopher

Age 61, of Mottville, died peacefully Friday morning, October 13, 2017 in the comfort of his family's presence. He was born August 5, 1956 in Niles, Michigan to Robert and Octavia Christopher. He married Daisy Mae Enboden in August, 1982 in Vandalia, Michigan. She survives. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patricia Toronto; one brother, Grady Shields; and his best friend and brother in law, George Enboden. Bruce joked a lot and always had something to say. He was quite a guy with a raw sense of humor. He loved his dogs. Bruce worked at Dodge Reliance in Mishawaka for twenty one years. He then became a truck driver for Interstate Trucking Company in Mottville for ten years. Bruce will be greatly missed by family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy his wife Daisy Christopher of Mottville; three daughters, Joyce Ahrens of Portage, Sarah Smith of Portage, Angela (Glen) Geurian of Niles; three sons, Corey (fianc Tanya Rodgers) Christopher of Niles, Bruce (Julie) Christopher, Jr. of Vandalia, Rick (fiance' Annie Renbarger) Schallhorn of Paw Paw; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one more on the way; three brothers, Cartier (Eulah Adams) Shields of Niles, Ronald (Vicki) Christopher of South Bend, Bobby McCain of Elkhart; one sister in law, Susan (Bill) Wallace of Vandalia; one brother in law, Charlie Enboden of Mottville; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis. Mr. Christopher will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery in Calvin Township, Michigan. The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Bruce's name to the family.
