Brett Kovach

Brett Charles Kovach, 63, passed away on July 12, 2018 at home with loved ones after an arduous battle with cancer. His cancer returned last year after a decade of remission. Brett was born March 21, 1955 to parents Norma Jean and Charlie Kovach. He was the middle child, survived by his older sister, Laura Kovach and younger brother, Lynn Kovach. Brett married Dawn Rene Howard August 2, 1980 and shared nearly 43 years together at the time of his death. Together they have two surviving daughters, Brandy Elice Kovach, 36 and Sara Jean Kovach, 30. Brett enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, watching classic sci-fi movies and traveling the country for both work and play. A celebration of life will take place Thursday, July 19th, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the banquet room at Jac's Cekola's Pizza at 7638 Westnedge Ave in Portage. Brett treasured the many pets that shared in his life's journey. To honor Brett's memory, in lieu of flowers, please donate to Animals Best Friend at animalsbestfriendsfund.org/donate.
