Brenda Underwood-Ayers

Died Thursday afternoon January 3, 2018 in Dowagiac, Michigan. Brenda was born September 7, 1957 in Kalamazoo, MI. a daughter of Kenneth and Gertrude (Williams) Underwood. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kelly Underwood; and a sister, Donna Faye Williams. She is survived by 3 children, Don (De-Ahna) Underwood of Manistee, MI, Elaine Underwood of Suttons Bay, MI, and Christina Underwood of Traverse City, MI; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nancy Williams of Dowagiac, Peggy Dunnigan and Stella Underwood both of Kalamazoo; 2 brothers, Kenneth "Pahoo" Underwood and Scott (Mindy) Underwood both of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Visitation will be 4-8pm Friday at the chapel. Interment will be in Almena Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
