It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda Parks, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on November 23, 2024. Brenda was born on April 9, 1958, and her 66 years on this earth were filled with love, compassion, and a tireless dedication to others. Brenda was the cherished wife of Bryan Parks, her soulmate and partner of 46 beautiful years. Their journey together began 50 years ago, and over the decades, their bond only grew stronger, rooted in love, mutual respect, and an enduring friendship.

She was a devoted mother to her children, Brianna and Doug, and Shanna with Dan, who will forever hold her memory close.

Brenda's pride and joy extended to her grandchildren, Ethan (8) and Nora (3), whose laughter and energy lit up her life. She leaves behind an immeasurable impact on those she loved, including Nina Crumpton and Anne and Mike Carr, who were like family to her.

Brenda's career was a testament to her selflessness and compassion. For 46 years, she dedicated her life to helping others, touching countless lives across various roles in healthcare. She began her career in pediatrics in DeKalb and Decatur, Illinois before transitioning to home care and hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan, In the last 10 years, Branda found her calling in oncology, working at the Bronson Cancer Center. Whether she was providing comfort to families in hospice or offering hope to patients battling cancer, Brenda always approached her work with empathy and grace, never forgetting the humanity of those she cared for.

Beyond her devotion to healthcare, Brenda's creativity and entrepreneurial spirit left an indelible mark. She was the inspiration and creative genius behind Bowright Whiskey, which she co-founded with her husband, Bryan. Together, they spent over two decades honing their expertise in whiskey, savoring carefully crafted blends across the US, Scotland, and Ireland. In 2016, Brenda and Bryan brought this passion to life with the founding of Bowright Whiskey, a brand rooted in heritage and love for the craft. Two years ago, they realized a long-held dream by opening a tasting room in Lake City, Michigan, where they shared their passion with the community. Brenda's vision and dedication to Bowright Whiskey brought joy to so many and added another layer of richness to her remarkable life. Her absence leaves a void that words cannot fill, but her spirit will live on in the lives of those she touched.

Brenda's kindness, strength, creativity, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know her. As her family mourns this profound loss, they also celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace. The love Brenda gave and the light she shared will forever guide and inspire them.

Brenda Parks will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and creativity will never be forgotten.

The Memorial service will be on Sunday, January 5 at VFW Hall Otsego, MI post 3030 124 N Farmer St., starting at 6 pm CST.
